Weekly Roundup June 5th
First up at the Cairn National Community Games, Eoghan placed 5th in the 5k while Libby took part in the relay event.
At the County Championship event Eoghan was in action again taking 1st place in the 3k race while Luke finished 4th in the 300m.
The Leinster Children’s Games event in Tullamore saw Izzy win the Gold medal and a new PB of 1.25 in the High Jump event and also took part in the 600m race. Evie and Grace took part as a pair in the turbo javelin and long jump finishing 5th overall in the turbo javelin and 9th as a pairing overall. Well done girls!
Tiernan (1:18) and Jacqueline (1:32) completed the IMRA Sugarbowl 9km Race.
Elaine earned a new PB of (22:48) at the Bob Heffernan 5k race in Enfield.
At parkrun we had Adrian (28:45) and Philip (29:36) at Gorey while Eoghan (18:54), Michael (23:12), Marc (27:10), Gavin (27:12) were at Avondale. Gareth was at the Progression parkrun finishing in (25:44).
Down at the Wexford Festival of Running event in Johnstown Castle, Kevin finished in 5th place in the 10k event in (45:28) while Philip finished the 25k distance in (3:17).
Well done to Justyna, Toni, Jannette, Esme, Jacqueline, Teresa, Korrina, Donna, Gill, and Geraldine who completed their Women’s Mini Marathon around Arklow and to Susan who was in Dublin finishing in (1:24).
Well done to Harry P who completed the Duckpond Junior parkrun.
