The wet weather conditions didn’t stop our members from getting out and about this weekend. The Saturday morning group were out as usual clocking up miles around the town. This is a great group for all to participate in as all distances are catered for.
Cormac was first across the line at Gorey parkrun in 19:41. Layla completed her 10th parkrun at Avondale in a time of (24:40) along with Caoimhe (30:03), Susan (32:26) and Melissa (33:54). Thanks to Justin, Donna, Madison, Carmel, Geraldine and Gareth who all helped out on the volunteer roster.
David completed the West Waterford AC Greenway Half Marathon on Saturday in a great time of (1:46). Well done David!
On Sunday both Layla and Mollie represented Arklow in the Community Games Cross Country. Well done to Mollie who finished 3rd in the 200m with Layla finishing 4th in the 800m and 6th in the 1200m (team gold for 800m and team silver for 1200m). Both will represent Wicklow at the national finals in October!
Sunday was Junior parkrun time. Well done to Adam, Baileigh, Ruairi, Ella, Harper, Juliet, Liam & Libby.

Juvenile Training continues on Monday and Wednesday at 7pm. Adult training is at the track at 7pm on Tuesday.
