Weekly Roundup November 28th

First up for the Weekly Roundup on Friday night 26 of our juveniles turned out in Roundwood for the first event of the juvenile league. On a particularly cold and windy night, the conditions were harsh with some snow flakes added in to set the mood. Congratulations to all the kids who took part, for some it was their first club event. They had smiles all round (once they thawed out) as each one gave their best in their individual event. Congratulations to Ruairi, Tommy, Euan, Oscar, Daragh, Aaron, Tristan, Alex, Evan, Jakub, Ciara, Kate, Chloe, Aoife, Libby, Juliette, Mollie, Ellie, Katie, Juliet, Aoife, Madison, Georgia, Saoirse, Beibhinn & Chloe. The club spirit was out in strong force, the parents and kids provided fantastic support waiting for all our athletes to complete. Thanks to all the parents and coaches for turning up, Round 1 done, we get ready for Round 2 in 2 weeks.
On Saturday at Avondale parkrun we had Esme who finished in 30:44 on a freezing morning. Gian took a trip to Cork to run the Castlehaven parkrun in 24:21. Three members travelled to New Ross parkrun with Geraldine (27:50), Carmel (27:51) and Gareth (28:22) completing the course.
