It’s a Bank Holiday Weekend roundup this week with plenty of action near and far to report on. Parkruns were first up with several locations on the agenda. Special credit to Gareth who has definitely set a new record of furthest distance travelled after completing not only one in Copenhagen Amager Stranpark on Saturday in 28:29 but also a bonus one in Malmo Ribersbog, Sweden on Monday in 28:49!

On Saturday Susan and Layla headed to the Tullaroan Festival of running. Both completed the 5k race with Layla finishing in 3rd place and 1st female home in 24:12 followed by Susan in 32:30. Well done ladies!
In Kildare Geraldine took part in the TriAthy Triathlon event which consisted of a 250m swim, 20k cycle finishing with a 4k run. Well done Geraldine on a fantastic achievement with all the hard training paying off.
Trish and Samantha completed the Cork City Half Marathon, well done ladies!
In Dublin it was the long awaited return of the Womens Mini Marathon. Well done to Geraldine & Carmel who completed their virtual on Friday and to Donna (1:00), Teresa (1:00), Aoife (49:00) PB, Susan (1:04) & Layla (53:00) who all took part in the event itself.
Our Juveniles braved the rain at Arklow Duck Pond junior parkrun. Well done to Baileigh, Libby, Tommy & Ruairi. Thanks to our volunteers Slawek, Gian, Zudrune, Kevin, Donna, Justin, Aoife, Geraldine, Aimee.
Adult training continue this week however the Tuesday session will take place at Jack Whites at 7pm. If you have signed up for any events this year, get in touch with us and see if being part of our group is right for you. Juvenile training continues on Wednesday with no Monday session due to Bank Holiday, our groups remain full at present.
