There was a huge amount of action this week which began on Wednesday evening at the Wicklow County 5k Championship. A total of 15 members set off from Jack Whites along the out-and-back course in tough humid conditions. Well done to everyone who ran brilliantly and we were delighted to also pick up medals in a few categories including a Bronze for the ladies team! On Friday night Derek took part in the Leixlip 5k road race finishing with a cracking time of 18:47, well done Derek!
On Saturday Elaine notched up a new PB of 1:31:17 at the Roscommon 10 Mile. Well done Elaine!
David was back in action and took on the Clontarf 5 mile in a great time of 38:23, great to see you back David!
Coral Leisure was the venue for the Juvenile Summer party. This was a chance for the junior members to enjoy some well earned fun and pizza following a lot of hard work over the past few months. It was also a chance to present Gold, Silver and Bronze medals for completing five, four and three events respectively over the course of the Juvenile League below. We would also like to say a huge thanks to all of our Juvenile coaches for the hard work, time and dedication they have given and hope they have an enjoyable summer!

Inch was the setting on Sunday for the popular Never Give Up 5k/10k race which has been a great success over the past few years in raising much needed funds for Cancer Services. A SBIM crew of six headed to take on the hilly course with yet again more members showing their support and encouragement from the sidelines (thanks to Geraldine, Aoife, Tiernan & Beth).
