The action began on Saturday morning with our Club Timed Mile. This is an opportunity to set a benchmark at the start of the year which can be used as a goal over the coming months. Well done to Michael (5:42), Dara (5:48), Cormac (5:57), Lauren (6:02), Kevin (6:23), Slawek (6:45), Marc (6:46), Gian (6:47), Rafal (7:00), Fiona (7:35), Korrina (7:36) & Esme (7:44) who all put in terrific efforts. The coffee and chats afterwards were thoroughly enjoyed!
Also on Saturday we had Tina at Gorey parkrun (31:07) while Gareth completed Illaunmanagh in (30:40).
On Sunday Layla travelled to Kilkenny for the National Junior B Cross Country Championships where she put in a outstanding performance to finish in 20th place in the U13 race with a huge field of 130 runners. She was also first across the line for the Wicklow Team who finished in 8th place in the County results. Well done Layla!
Jacqueline travelled to Wexford to take on the Enniscorthy 10k finishing with a new PB of (47:44). Well done Jacqueline!
At Junior parkrun we had Abbie, Libby, Millie, Oliver & Tommy put in great runs.
