Weekly Roundup December 19th

First up this week our Juveniles rounded off the year with a special Christmas night on Wednesday evening. Fun and games was the only agenda and everyone was rewarded for their incredible efforts throughout the year with a visit and gift from our VIP from the North Pole. It was great to see so many smiling faces. We are very proud of the huge work and progress that everyone has put in over the last 12 months and are already looking forward to training resuming in January after a well earned break.
On Saturday morning we had a festive Xmas 5k around the town with chats and some delicious treats, tea and coffee afterwards. Unfortunately there was no big bash this year but we hope to put the glad rags on sometime in the near future!
Also on Saturday Aoife, Eimear, Jacqueline, Tiernan, Beth & Ethan completed their Wicklow Sportspartnership Santa Dash. Well done everyone!
Caoimhe headed down to Ballincollig parkrun and finished with a time of (30:12). Gareth was on the volunteer roster at Gorey parkrun and also the Heritage Park junior parkrun on Sunday.
Back in Arklow on a cold morning at Junior parkrun we had 19 of our Juvenile members complete the course. Well done to Adam, Alfie, Baileigh, Beibhinn, Ben, Beth, Ethan, Georgia, Hanna, Hannah, Harper, Layla, Libby, Madison, Mollie, Ruairi, Saoirse, Tommy & Tristan!
Big thanks to our essential volunteer roster this week of Alison, Slawek, Gian, Susan, Donna, Justin, Gillian, Michael, Teresa, Pat, Geraldine, Zydrune, Jacqueline & Tiernan. This great free event relies on new volunteers to keep it going so please do get in touch if you would like to offer to join in the fun!
Juvenile training has finished for the year and will resume in January. Adult training continues at the Running Track on Tuesday at 7pm. If you or anyone you know are interested in joining us for 2022 we are always available for a chat about Adult Membership!
