Q1. How did you hear about the club?

Zydrune – The first time I heard about the club was from another member, Slawek. I accidently met him at one of the Wicklow Hospice foundation running events in Avondale forest.

Q2. What made you decide to join?

Zydrune – I was planning for years (since 2015) to join a running club but there was always something in the way. Then in 2019 I started to think more about joining this club. After the Dublin City Marathon in 2019 I knew that I needed something new in my running life.

Q3. What were your first thoughts/impressions after you joined?

Zydrune – I was positively surprised. Everyone was very supportive and friendly during the training sessions. I felt very welcome immediately to this new family.

Q4. How has joining the club benefited you?

Zydrune – I found the training sessions very beneficial. I would have never done anything like that on my own. Training as a team is much more fun. There is a much bigger opportunity to improve your running. Also If need help with any part of my training or setting new goals I know who to contact in the club. I realised that I should have joined this club a long time ago after being a solo runner for many years.

Q5. What’s your favorite thing about being a member?

Zydrune – My favourite part of being a member is simply that I am proud to be a part of this club.

Q6. What advice would you give to someone who is thinking about joining our club?

Zydrune – I can guarantee you there are people in this cub that will be at the same running level and experience as you so don’t be afraid to give it a go!
